We've had a super busy week in Caterpillar Class!

In English, we looked at the film Shrek. We had to describe the characters using bullet points. We also looked at how Shrek treated Fiona, and all the lovely things he did for her. We then had to write our own letter from a Prince, to woo a Princess!

In Maths, we have been looking at number sentences, and the different ways we can write them. For example, we could write the number sentence; 4+3=7, 4 different ways...

4+3=7

3+4=7

7-4=3

7-3=4

Remembering learn one, know three!!!

On Thursday, we had a VERY exciting day out to Norwich Castle! We learnt a lot about what it was like living in a Castle and how different it was from today. We really enjoyed our day out and thought it was amazing!!

We even made our own pennants for the jousting tournament!

And we got to have a look at a Knights Helmet!

We've had a great first week back in Caterpillar class and have worked really hard. 

In English, we have been looking at the story Cinderella. We learnt about the characters, and wrote a diary entry from Cinderella's or the Prince's point of view. 

In Maths, we learn about place value. We had to decide whether it was tens or a units number, and how many tens were in the number we picked up. We found it tricky at first, but worked hard and could do it straight away by the end of the week!

We've been busy in Topic learning all about Castles! We looked at what a castle is, who lived they and how they lived. It was very interesting learning all about the dungeons, the battlements, and the moat! 

We even started building our own castle!

We also won Attendance Ted this week, so well done to the children in Caterpillar Class who have been here everyday!!
